American Legion Kuch-Querl Post 228 Project Overview
Communications Strategy | Social Media Management | Full-Scale Website Development
Kuch-Querl Post 228 has long served as a cornerstone for veterans and the Williamsburg community. Rich in heritage and local impact, the Post needed a modern digital presence to bridge the gap between its proud history and the needs of younger veterans, while remaining accessible and relevant for everyone.
The Challenge
The Post’s digital footprint was outdated and fragmented. This created a disconnect between longtime members and the next generation of veterans, making it harder to share resources, promote events, recruit new members, and showcase the important community work happening locally in Williamsburg, Iowa.
The Strategy
We approached the project with care, focusing on a respectful balance between honoring tradition and embracing modern tools. The strategy rested on three key pillars:
Visual & Narrative Consistency
Establishing a cohesive brand voice and visual identity across platforms to build trust and instant recognition.
Generational Integration
Crafting messaging that respects longtime members while lowering barriers for new and younger veterans through approachable digital outreach.
Information Centralization
Moving from scattered communication to a single, reliable “digital headquarters” that supports recruitment, advocacy, and community engagement.
The Solution
The project culminated in the launch of a fully custom-built website at ialegion228.org, designed as a scalable digital home for the Post.
Streamlined Navigation
Clear organization of local outreach, veteran resources, advocacy efforts, and event information so everything is easy to find.
Community Integration
Built to serve both Post members and the broader Williamsburg community as a welcoming hub.
Professional Collateral
A clean, patriotic flyer was created featuring the new official email (kuchquerlpost228@gmail.com), meeting details, QR code to the website, and clear calls to action: making it simple for veterans and community members to connect.
The Results
Kuch-Querl Post 228 now has a polished, modern digital presence that honors its legacy while making it easier for veterans of all ages and local residents to connect, get involved, and stay informed. The new website and supporting materials serve as a true digital headquarters that strengthens recruitment, event promotion, and community advocacy for years to come.
